Walking & Cycling

There is also a permissive footpath from Hauxton Mill entrance to Great Shelford school, not shown on this map.

Cycling: Melbourn – Cambridge Greenway

The Melbourn to Cambridge Greenway is part of the Greater Cambridge Partnership cycling/walking strategy and the route options are now open to public consultation.
There are three possible routes through Hauxton, and residents are invited to give their views and preferences.  The options are shown on the image above as A, B and C.  More details on the routes are given in the October 2016 document identifying these options (although option A has been slightly modified since then.)
To respond please follow this link and complete the on-line questionnaire here.
Cycling: Hauxton-Trumpington cycle path

There is a cycleway through Trumpington Meadows Country Park.  There is little signage other than the red sign at the start, just the motorway side of Hauxton bridge. It is open to all and offers a safe and beautiful alternative route to the A10/M11 roundabout crossing. Click on the map image below for a full size map of the route.
