As a rural village Hauxton welcomes dog owners walking their dogs, however, we would encourage owners to respect residents by clearing up after your dog has completed its ‘business’ and not leaving it on footpaths and pavements.
To assist we show below a plan showing the location of dog bins where you can dispose of plastic bags of dog waste. Click on the image for a larger image.
Please note that for a trial period of 6 months from beginning of February 2017, dogs are only allowed on the recreation green on Church Road on a lead. They are permitted on the village green, the Sports Ground (on a lead) and the Willow Way recreation green (again on a lead) where dog bins are provided.
Dogs are also, of course, allowed on Donkey Lane, where a bin is provided at the Hauxton end, and the woodland walk through Hauxton Meadows beside the river (footpath number 1), and two dog bins are located here.
