The planning application for the Extra Care housing on the Hauxton Meadows site was approved by South Cambs on 22 December 2016.

Work started in early in 2017 and is likely to be complete early in 2019, with occupation commencing in April 2019.

This ‘bird’s eye’ view shows the status of construction on 10 November 2017.

The developer, BPHA, are a housing association specialising in Extra Care homes. The plans provide 70 homes of one or two bedrooms each, together with communal facilities (small shop and hair salon) and a cafe on the top floor with a roof terrace.

This image shows the ground floor of the core area, which includes a proposed hairdressing salon and small shop.

Full details of the plans may be seen on the South Cambs planning portal here.
